Where there’s thirst, there’s need- a need for food. We reach out to communities, both locally and abroad, to develop clean, sustainable water and feeding solutions. We need your help, though.
It’s important to us to be as clear about what we do as the water we provide communities in need. This list details a majority of our initiatives that we need your participation in.
We’re fortunate enough to just turn on a faucet to have access to life’s most essential ingredient: clean water. For many people, though, getting access to something so basic is incredibly difficult.
Deaths By Malnutrition
Children are the most victims of under nutrition. Children who are poorly nourished suffer up to 160 days of illness each year. Poor nutrition plays a role in at least half of the 10.9 million child deaths each year---five million deaths. Under nutrition magnifies the effect of every disease, including measles and malaria. -Black 2003, Bryce 2005

The Growth of Hunger
The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization estimates that nearly 870 million of the 7.1 billion people in the world, or one in eight, were suffering from chronic under-nourishment in 2010-2012. Almost all the hungry people, 852 million, live in developing countries. (FAO 2012)
